Private Bus Fares Hike Ahead of Deepawali: KSRTC Introduces Additional Bus Services

Due to rising demand this Deepawali, traffic on the Bangalore-Mangalore route this weekend is expected to see a huge rush. KSRTC has introduced special services for the festive season. All additional buses being introduced from Bangalore will reflect in the online reservation portal. This weekend, the rush is expected from Bangalore. Already 20 additional buses have been introduced and are running full. Based on the demand, more buses will be added.

For October 21, while the tickets for KSRTC Ambaari Dream Class (AC Sleeper) Bangalore-Mangalore are sold out, tickets for the Airavat Club Class bus are available at Rs 1,071 and Rs 1,278. However, private bus tickets are being sold at Rs 1,500 to Rs 2000 on various online platforms.

On October 21, the KSRTC is expected to run about 72 buses from Bangalore to Mangalore. This includes special services that will cater to the Diwali rush. In the next week, the rush is expected to be from Mangalore- Bangalore.
