Private Buses In Dakshina Kannada & Udupi To Start Operating From June 1: Know More

May 25: Both Private service and city buses have decided to start operating in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts from June 1. Initially only 50% of the buses will start services.
Out of total 325 city buses which leave for different destinations in Mangalore everyday only 150 buses will be pressed into service from June 1. City Bus Operators Association president, Dilraj Alva, said only 50 percent of city buses will be introduced on June 1. This affectively works out to four buses on an average in a singe route. He said that the bus owners are awaiting guidelines from the district administration about the operation of bus services.
