Prohibitory Orders in Mangalore Today: More Information on This

December 6: To prevent unwanted incidents and to maintain law and order in view of the anniversary of the demolition of Babri Masjid in Ayodhya, Mangalore city Police Commissioner Harsha has passed prohibitory orders in the city on Friday, December 6.
Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B. Rupesh has clamped the orders for 24 hours from 6 a.m. on Friday in Bantwal, Belthangady, Sullia and Kadaba taluks.
Prohibitory orders under Section 35 of the Karnataka Police Act 1963 have been imposed in the city. Taking out any processions without permission, holding protests, dharnas, rasta roko, carrying weapons, explosives, bursting crackers and burning effigies, among others, have been banned during the period.
There are possibilities of various Muslim organisations holding ‘Black Day’ and Hindu groups celebrating the ‘Vijayotsav’ on December 6.
The prohibitory orders will not be applicable for any government  programmes.
