Prohibitory Orders in Udupi District For Two Days From October 14 Between 6am to 6pm: This is The Reason

Udupi Deputy Commissioner Vidyakumari has enforced prohibitory orders across the district for two days beginning from 6 am on October 14 to 6 pm on October 15 in the wake of the recent developments regarding celebrating Mahisha Dasara.

The administration has banned putting up of any posters, banners or buntings opposing or favouring Mahisha Dasara and also banned delivering any speech that is provocative in nature. Using fire crackers has also been banned during the period. The DC has warned that strict action will be taken against violators.
