Property worth 30 lakhs recovered from three inter-state thieves

March 28: The Mangalore South Police arrested three persons on the charges of a theft which was reported at Koyilandy in Kerala and have recovered property worth Rs 4.40 lakh.
The arrested have been identified as Anil Kumar (28) of Koppa, Veerendra Shetty (46) of Boliyar in Mangaluru and Abdul Rahim alias Chappe Tanni Rahim (42) of Bengre Kasaba.
The trio had robbed 136 grams of gold ornaments and a television from a house at Koyilandy and a television and copper vessels from a house at Kulshekar.
Along with this the three have other cases against them. Anil has three theft cases registered against him in Karwar, 2 theft cases in Udupi town and four theft cases in Kozhikode. Veerendra Shetty has 1 dacoity case  in Surathkal, Bantwal and Manjeshwara police stations and one attempt to murder case in Konaje Police station. Abdul Rahim has two attempt to murder case  in Mangalore North police station, one case each under NDPS Act at Barke, Panambur and Coastal Security Police stations.
