Pulse Polio Drive on Sunday!

The first phase of National Pulse Polio campaign to be held in Dakshina Kannada district on Sunday, March 10th. District health officer Dr Ramakrishna Rao said that the drive will be held on sunday from *am to 5 pm. He stated that a total of 1,49,562 children aged 0-5 will be covered in this District this year.

Around 922 booths will be set up across the district along with seven mobile booths will be installed.

Doctors from the department of health clarified that the district was free from KFD ( Kyasanur forest disease), even though there were few suspected reports the reports turned to be negative.
