Pulse Polio Drive Was Held In Dakshina Kannada District: 95.1% Target Achived

Dakshina Kannada district held a pulse polio dive in Dakshina Kannada district during which the district achieved 95.1% of the target by administering drops to 1,36,280 out of 1,43,252 children below five years on Sunday.

The drive was held across Dakshina Kannada district. The health department arranged 921 booths, four mobile booths and 37 transit teams to administer polio drops to children. The transit teams were deployed at bus stands, railway stations and the airport. Besides 3,840 vaccinators and 183 supervisors, volunteers also were involved in the drive.
