Puri Seer to Visit Udupi Today: Programme Details

November 27: Nischalananda Saraswati Mahaswami from Sri Kshetra Puri Gowardhana Peetam, Odisha, will visit Udupi from November 27 to 29, MLA Raghupathi Bhat said. He is called Shankaracharya of Puri and is the propagator of cattle conservation and women empowerment.
MLA Bhat said that The Seer, who has studied Vedas in many spiritual destinations in the country, has struggled to stop the atrocities against cattle. He upheld the faith and sacredness of cow among Hindus and was part of the agitation initiated by Dharma Samrat Karpatriji Maharaj for the conservation of cattle.
The seer also promotes environment protection. He has set up two organisations, ‘Aditya Vahini’ and ‘Ananda Vahini’, through which he spearheads a nationwide campaign to protect the ancient culture of the country, Bhat added.
The MLA said the seer would be offered a ceremonial welcome at Indrali railway station on November 27. The seer will address a public gathering at Sharada Kalyan Mantap, Kunjibettu. He will address the leaders of Hindu community and will also deliver a talk to the students on November 28. On November 29, the seer will interact with women.
