June 10: Life guards at maple beach save a youth from drowning. A youth named Masood Pasha (28) from Bhadravath had arrived at the beach along with his friends. While they were enjoying a swim he was literally washed away by the huge tidal waves.
Life guards led by Madhukar Salian at Malpe beach immediately swung into quick action and rescued him.
