Raid at Recreation club for illegal gambling: 70 persons arrested.

March 17: The Bantwal Traffic Police SI Manjunath with his team raided the Bantwal Recreation Club at Prasanna Complex and arrested 70 persons who were involved in gambling.

The police seized Rs 72,100 cash used for gambling, 51 mobile phones worth Rs 1 lakh, cards, 2 DVRs, a round table and 7 chairs. The Bantwal Town police have registered a case under the KP Act 1963 and are investigating more on this.
During the raid it was also found that the club functioning without any licence and gambling was carried out without permission.
Club manager Sai Kiran(37), from Manjeshwar is one among the persons arrested.
