The Southern Railway will operate special trains from Mangalore Junction to Thiruvananthapuram North and Kollam to clear the extra rush of passengers during Onam.

Train No. 06041 Mangalore Junction – Thiruvananthapuram North Bi-Weekly Special Express leaves Mangalore Junction at 7.30 p.m. on August 21, 23, 28, and 30, and, September 4, 6, 11 and 13 (Thursdays and Saturdays), to reach Thiruvananthapuram North at 8 a.m. the next day.
Train No. 06042 Thiruvananthapuram North – Mangalore Junction Bi-Weekly Special Express leaves Thiruvananthapuram North at 5.15 p.m. on August 22, 24, 29 and 31, and, September 5, 7, 12 and 14, to reach Mangalore Junction at 6.30 a.m. the next day. The train will have one 2-tier AC, two 3-tier AC, 17 sleeper class and two second class luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

The Railways will operate Train No. 06047 Mangalore Junction – Kollam Junction Special Express, leaving Mangalore Junction at 9.15 p.m. on August 25, September 1 and 8 (Mondays) to reach Kollam Junction at 10.20 a.m. the next day. Train No. 06048 Kollam Junction – Mangalore Junction Special Express leaves Kollam Junction at 5.10 p.m. on August 26, September 2 and 9 (Tuesdays) to reach Mangalore Junction at 5.30 a.m. the next day. The train will have one 2-tier AC, two 3-tier AC, 17 sleeper class and two second class luggage-cum-brake van coaches.
