Rain in Belthangady and Sullia brings relief to the localites

April 8: Rain lashed different parts of Belthangady and Sullia on Monday evening. The rain brought relief to the residents of Belthangady, Ujire, Venoor, Naravi, Mundaje, Guruvayanakere, Madantyar, Ivarnadu, Bellare and nearby areas which experienced rain. However, thunder and lightning disrupted the power supply in the interior villages.
Though rain brought relief in people, Several arecanut trees were uprooted due to gusty wind. Two electricity poles were also damaged at Perlampady. as a huge tree fell on it.
