Rain & Thunderstorm Brings Relief From Scorching Heat in Mangalore
Much-needed relief arrived in the form of rain and thunderstorms as Dakshina Kannada, and most parts of Udupi district, including Mangalore city areas, experienced a spell of precipitation on Thursday evening. The region, which had been experiencing a hot and humid spell in recent days, witnessed a significant drop in temperatures as the rain brought respite from the prevailing humidity.
In Mangalore city, the past few days had seen scanty rainfall. The city had been enveloped in cloudy and humid weather since Thursday morning. However, at around 8 pm, a substantial downpour accompanied by thunder and lightning graced the city, providing a refreshing change.
Various areas in the region, including Belthangady, Dharmasthala, Madantyar, Kuvettu, Gerukatte, Nidle, Venur, Uppinangady, Ilanthila, Perne, Subrahmanya, Sullia, Bellare, Kadaba, Kollamogru, Panja, Edamangala, Puttur, Bettampady, Panaje, Bantwal, BC Road, Punjalakatte, Sarapady, Punacha, Vitla, Sampya, and Badiyadka, witnessed significant rainfall.
