Rain to Intensify in Coastal Districts For Next Few Days: Red Alert Issued

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) and district Disaster Management Authority have announced a red alert on Wednesday, September 7 in coastal districts in view of the heavy rainfall forecast in the region. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced alert for the next five days since there is likelihood of extremely heavy downpour across Coastal Karnataka.

The IMD has also sounded an orange alert on September 8 and 9. The fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea by the district administration.
