The IMD stated that the monsoon intensity will remain high, particularly in coastal Karnataka, while several other districts will also experience moderate to heavy showers.
According to the forecast, coastal districts will receive heavy rainfall on September 2 and 3, prompting the IMD to issue a red alert. The rain activity is likely to continue in the coastal belt until September 6. Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada are expected to witness intense rainfall on September 2 and 3.
