Residents of Golikatte in Charmadi to boycott polls due to nearby Hotels
April 11: Residents of Golikatte in Charmadi have urged the authorities to initiate strict action against those hotels that release wastewater into the river. The residents have appealed to the Gram Panchayat, DC, ZP CEO, Taluk Panchayat executive officer, health officials and the Election Commission to check the release of wastewater. They said that the foul smell emanating due to the release of wastewater into the river is unbearable and threatened to boycott polls.
