Rowdy-sheeter Akashbhavan Sharan arrested

April 4: Notorious rowdy-sheeter Akashbhavan Sharan, who went absconding after sexually assaulting a minor, was arrested by CCB police on Thursday. Mangalore Commissioner of Police Sandeep Patil confirmed the arrest of Sharan and said that 18 cases, including murder and extortion, was pending against him.
Sharan, before he shot to notoriety was a member of Hindu Jagarana Vedike later he was removed from the outfit after being accused in a robbery case.
Sharan is said to be the prime accused in Bejai Raja murder case. He is also accused of plotting the murders of Pradeep Mendon, Sullia-based KVG Institutions Manager Dr Ramakrishna.
Sharan had sexually assaulted a minor in January this year, who had come to him to learn Tiger dance. A case was registered against him under Pocso Act in Women’s police station.
