Sale of Only Green Crackers Permitted During This Deepawali: Orders From DC Mullai Muhilan

Dakshina Kannada Deputy commissioner Mullai Muhilan MP said all firecracker shops and dealers in the district should sell only green crackers during Deepawali and Tulsi Puja.

The DC informed that temporary permits will be issued for the sale of crackers during Diwali from November 11 to 14 and Tulsi Puja on November 23 and 24. Traders who are applying for temporary permits should obtain clearance from the department of fire and emergency services, local administration and the tahsildar. The application in the prescribed format should comprise, the blueprint with documents of the place, where the temporary stalls are planned to be opened. While the application fee will be Rs 200, the permit fee will be Rs 500 to be paid at the time of issuance, the DC added.ermit, which was found to be fake. The owner has been charged for not having a valid permit and for forging the document.
