Save a Life: Get registered as a Stem Cell Donor

March 30:  A stem cell donor registration drive will be held at Bhuvanendra Hall, Canara High School, Dongarakeri, Mangalore on March 30. Stem Cell Registry India (SCRI) has requested healthy adults in the city to take part in the drive and register themselves as stem cell donors.
The drive is held to find a stem cell match for Prashanth, a 37-year-old physical education teacher at Canara CSBE School. Prashanth is suffering from Leukemia. The donors should be within the age of 18 to 50 years and weighing above 50 kg.
When a donor gets registered, their anonymized data will be available and searched for patients worldwide till they turn 61 years of age. If matched with any patient, every donor will get a rare opportunity to save a life.
