Scientific study to improve the traffic movement at NITK: Know more about this
June 15: Police phone-in programme was held on Friday, June 14 at the office of the police commissioner of the city. Laxmi Ganesh, DCP of traffic division of Mangalore Police Commissionerate office of the police commissioner of the city during the phone in programme said that a decision has been taken to improve the traffic movement on the roads of the city, by conducting a scientific study, which will be carried out by NITK.
Along with this a proposal to install automatic signal in all the main junctions of the city under the Smart City project is also submitted.
A notice regarding is sent to all the bus owners to resolve the issues regarding to the movement of private buses in the city. The bus drivers and conductors, who violate the traffic rules have been fined and also suitable action is taken against them. If anyone repeats the offence, then severe action will be taken on the offenders and also the owner of the respective bus as per the details in the notice that is sent to the bus owners.
