Search was for Ganja but found Rs 45 lakh cash

April 29: After receiving information that ganja was being transported in a bus, Officials of the Excise Department waylaid the bus near Adoor on the Kerala – Karnataka border and started checking. The officers found a person carrying Rs 45 lakh cash without any document. The officers seized the cash.
The person carrying cash has been identified as Jaheer and works at a shop in Ernakulam. He said that he was asked by a man called Habeeb Rehman of Bengalore to hand over the money to a person called Habeeb in Mangalore.
