Section 144 to be imposed in Dakshina Kannada from April 16 to April to April 19

April 16: Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil said that prohibitory orders under section 144 will be imposed in Dakshina Kannada district from April 16 at 6 pm to April 19 at 6 pm ahead of Lok Sabha elections 2019. Along with this, dry day has been declared from April 16 to the midnight of April 18, he added.
DC stated that today 6 pm will be the deadline for all open campaign. However, Door-to-door campaign in a small group will be allowed. Outsiders who do not belong to this constituency and had come for the sake of campaigning should leave the constituency by 6 pm. The DC even informed that voters are not allowed to carry mobile phones inside polling stations.
