Separate Statehood for Dakshina Kannada and Udupi: MP Candidate Venkatesh Bende

March 27:  Venkatesh Bende who works as a reporter in a local media will contest as an independent candidate from Dakshina Kannada constituency for upcoming Loksabha polls. He hails from Navara village in Belthangady taluk and had contested in 2013 and 2018 Assembly elections.
Bende has put forward for a separate statehood for Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. He said this his will help in dropping unscientific projects like Netravathy river diversion. he even mentioned that there is a need to include Tulu language into the Eight schedule of the Indian constitution. but provid all facilities to the fishermen. Bende added that many Tulu organisations have extended their support to his candidature.
