Serial rapist Cyanide Mohan gets jail till death

March 27: Serial rapist Cyanide Mohan gets convicted in two cases related to brutal rape & murder. He has been awarded life imprisonment without remission by Sixth Additional District and Sessions Judge D T Puttarangaswamy on Wednesday.
Mohan had attracted his first victim from Kedila village of Bantwal taluk to elope with him to Madikeri in January 2009. After sexually assaulting her in a hotel, he made her consume cyanide tablets, convincing her it would prevent unwanted pregnancies. In March 2009, he lured a woman from Peraje in Madikeri taluk to travel with him to Mysuru. He sexually assaulted her in a KSRTC bus stand toilet and forced her to take cyanide tablets.
