Sexual assault on Step daugheter: Man from Pandeshwar arrested

May 13: The Moodbidri police on Sunday arrested a man on the charges of sexually assaulting a minor girl. The arrested has been identified as  Ranjith Poojary (32), a resident of Pandeshwara in Mangalore.
Ranjith Poojary had married a woman from Beluvai in Moodbidri. The woman had two daughters from her first marriage. Poojari had sexually abused one of the daughters. The victim had first filed a complaint at Prajna Counselling Centre in Mangalore.
The mother of the victim later filed a complaint atMoodbidri police. Poojari was produced before the magistrate who remanded him in judicial custody.
