Smuggling of foreign currency at Mangalore International Airport: One arrested

July 31: A Dubai-bound passenger was attempting to smuggle foreign currency at Mangalore International Airport on Tuesday, July 30. During a security check at MIA, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel detained the person who had concealed Saudi Riyals and UAE Dirhams in his undergarments.
The arrested has been identified as Abdul Razak M. He was scheduled to travel to Dubai by flight IX383 and had concealed bundles of 11,000 Dirhams and 11,600 Riyals amounting to Rs 4.1 lakh. CISF personnel have handed him over to Customs officials for further action.
