Someshwar, Ucchila on The Outskirts of Mangalore Face Danger of Sea Erosion Once Again

Sea erosion increased in Someshwar and Ucchila on the outskirts of the city. More than 20 houses at Seaground in Ullal and land area at Battapady is being washed away into the sea. The high waves have damaged the compound walls of houses which are washed away into the sea.

Permanent and temporary works related to sea erosion have taken place till Kileria town near Seaground. As the work over 500 meter length is still pending, the erosion has increased considerably.
