State Government to collapse soon after election results: MP Nalin Kumar Kateel

May 7:  A protest was staged by the BJP in Mangalore on Monday May 6, against the State Government for their action against mediapersons who had criticised them on social media. Mediapersons who had criticised the state government on social media have been arrested as per the instructions of Home Minister M B Patil, because they had uploaded a letter allegedly written by him. The arrested personsb are Mahesh Vikram Hegde, Shruthi Bellakki, Sharada Diamond, Hemanth Kumar and Ajith Shetty Heranji.
While speaking during the protest MP Nalin Kumar Kateel has predicted that the state government will collapse soon after BJP comes to power again at the Centre on May 23. He said that those who criticise the working style of the state government, the chief minister and other ministers are put behind bars. he even said that CM has forgotten that India is a democratic country and everyone has a right to voice their opinion.
Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath alleged that the CM and ministers of the State Government have completely ignored the progress of the state.
