State Government’s Ambitious Project, Pre-Military Training Center Begins Operations in Mangalore

A pre-military training center, which has been state government’s ambitious project, has begun operations in the coastal region. The centre started operating in October in the Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, and Udupi districts. The training would last for four months and end in February 2023. Each centre has the capacity to train 100 people. The most candidates  possible have registered for these centres in the three coastal districts.

Veera Rani Abbakka in Dakshina Kannada (DK), Koti Chennaya in Udupi, and Hinja Nayak in Uttara Kannada are the names of the centres. These centres provide all the theoretical and practical training needed to join the military. The trainers are active-duty and retired military personnel. Theory, physical fitness, and martial arts are also taught from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. There is no charge for food, lodging, or education.  In Mangaluru, the centre is functioning near KPT. This training will be helpful for youth who aspire to join the military through the Agnipath Scheme and other military recruitment.
