Swachhata Abhiyan by RK Mission: Week 28

June 17: The 28th week of shramadan by Ramakrishna Mission was carried out in Boloor on Sunday, June 16. The shramadan was jointly flagged off by Brahmacharini Mangalamrita Chaitanya and chartered accountant Ramanatha Nayak in front of Mata Amritanandamayi Math.
About 10 black spots where the public used to litter, were identified on the road from Boloor Amritanandamayi Math towards Bokkapatna, and cleaned up. Eight teams were formed from the from the assembled volunteers.
Along with household garbage, heaps of sand, stones and plastic bags were removed and the area cleaned and flowering plants in pots were placed at the spots to prevent the people from littering there again.
