Tar found again at Panambur beach: This may be the Reason

May 26: Tar made a reappearance at Panambur and Baikampady beaches in the shape of balls on Saturday evening. the tar was sticking to feet while walking on the beach.
Yathish Baikampady, the Panambur Beach Tourism Development Project Chief Executive Officer (CEO) said that dredging vessels discharging slurry may be the reason. He mentioned that a video footage has been sent to the Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner and environmental officers of the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) regarding this.
He stated that a drive needs to be undertaken to prevent the incident from repeating.
