Temples In The State To Reopen From June 1: Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary

May 27: Temples in the state were closed for the public for two months due to the Covid 19 lockdown. District In charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary said that after having discussions with the Chief Minister Yedyurappa, it has been decided to open temples for the public from June 1.
Minister Poojary said that this decision has been taken after receiving several pleas from the devotees. He also mentioned that the temples will be opened to offer pooja and daily rituals, but not permitting temple fairs and events. The places of religious worship will also be required to maintain social distancing and other health norms, he added.
