The First Cruise Vessel of The Season Arrived at New Mangalore Port.
The first cruise vessel of the season carrying 299 passeners and 296 crew members, Bahamian-flagged MS Silver Whisper, arrives at New Mangalore Port.
Arriving from its previous port of call in Mumbai, MS Silver Whisper was kept at Berth No. 4. A prestigious vessel in the Silver Cruises fleet, the ship is 186 metres long with a draft of 6.2 metres and has a gross tonnage of 28,258 tonnes. The ship is on an international itinerary, covering Cape Town, Mumbai, Mangalore, Colombo, and beyond.
The guests were greeted with a traditional Indian welcome and captivated by a Bharatanatyam performance, showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage. They also explored the cultural treasures of Dakshina Kannada, including visits to sites such as the Thousand Pillar Basadi in Moodbidri, the Kadri Manjunatha Temple, the St. Aloysius Chapel, and the Artisan Village in Pilikula.
