The Lakshadeeptosava programmes of Dharmasthala Manjunatheswara Temple will be held from November 15 to November 20. The Lakshadeepostsava will start at on November 19 midnight with Gouri Marukatte Utsava and will end on November 20 morning. Artists from different parts of the State will present “Kala Seve” using percussion and other music instruments from the night of November 19 till November 20 morning. The KSRTC has arranged special buses to Dharmasthala for the six day event
The 93th Sarva Dharma Sammelana, which is part of Lakshadeepotsava, will be held on November 18. Large and Medium Scale Industries Minister M.B. Patil will inaugurate the programme. The programme will be presided over by Swayamprakash Sachhidananda Saraswati Swami of Hariharapura. There will be talks by journalist A. Suryaprakash Pandit and columnist Tanvir Ahmedullah. There will Bharatnatyam dance recital directed by Vidhushi Sheela Unnikrishnan from Chennai at 8.30 p.m. on the same day.
The Sahitya Sammelana will be held on November 19, which will be inaugurated by columnist Premashekar. Journalist Vishweshwar Bhat will preside over the Sahitya Sammelana. There will be talks by writer Shanta Nagamangala, journalist V. Raghu and writer B.M. Sharabendra Swami from Dharwad. In the evening there will be music programme by Bengaluru’s Rahul Vellal and team. This will be followed by “Daksha Yajna” Yakshagana at 9.45 p.m.
