April 4: Chilled beer is liked by Alcohol lovers in Dakshina Kannada during Summer season. Excise officers are saying that there is less demand for beer this year compared to last year. Sale of beer has gone down upto 20% this year this March.
One of the main reason for the for steep dip in the sale of beer is the election model of code of conduct. Liquor traders are only purchasing alcohol which is required for the day. Along with this, the price of beer was increased in the budget. Since there was a price revision, the beer companies have got down to clear the old stock.
