These candidates from Udupi-Chikmagalur constituency lost their deposits in the Lok Sabha election
May 27: Apart from BJP and JD(S)-Congress candidates, all other 10 candidates in Udupi-Chikmagalur constituency have lost their deposits in the Lok Sabha election 2019 held recently. As per the guidelines of Election Commission of India, the candidates who get 1/6th of the votes polled are eligible for refund of the deposit paid while submitting the nomination.
The candidates who lost their deposits are: BSP candidate P Parameshwara had secured 15,947 votes and stood third in the list while Congress rebel candidate Amruth Shenoy secured 7,981 votes. That apart P Gautham Prabhu secured–7,431 votes, Abdul Rehman-6,017, K C Prakash-3,543, M K Dayanand-3,539, Maggalamakki Ganesh-3,526, Suresh Kunder-3,488, Vijay Kumar-2,216 and Shekar Havanje-1,581.
