These many cases of violation of model code of conduct have been registered in Udupi

April 13: Nearly 15,845 litres of liquor, worth Rs 64.39 lakh, was seized by excise officials. Along with this, police personnel have seized 11.7 litres of liquor worth Rs 6,107.
14 cases have been registered in Udupi in connection with the violation of election code of conduct. A total amount of Rs 24.59 lakh cash had been have been registered. seized by poll officials out of which Rs 23.50 lakh has been released on submission of documents.
Apart from illicit liquor and cash, officials had received 153 other code of conduct violation complaints, out of which , 146 complaints have been disposed off.
