These roads in Mangalore to get footpaths & drainages!

The Mangalore City Corporation has identified 13 roads in Mangalore which need footpath & drainages. Complaints by pedestrians have increased in the city as they are facing difficulty due to lack of footpaths on most of the roads.

Considering this, the MCC has decided to develop these roads using the fund under premium Floor Area Ratio (FAR). An action plan has been prepared by the MCC to develop roads. Rs 22.97 crores have been collected under premium FAR account till december 2018. This fund will be utilized for widening the roads & construction of footpaths & drainages.

The 13 roads identified by MCC for development of footpath & drainages are near Kankanady, marnamikatte, Jeppu-Kudupady, Urva market, Lalbagh, Mary hill, Balmatta, Kuntikana, Nanthoor, Shivabagh, Kodialguttu & Kottara.
