This five year old Mangalorean girl sets a new world record

June 9: Five year old Aadhya, daughter of Ashwin and Priyanka, residents of Matthadakani in Mangalore, has set a new world record in hula hoop spun and it has been confirmed by India Star Book of Records and India Star World Records. Aadhya has spun hula hoop 4000 times continuously in kneeling down position and the total time that she took to spin was around 34 minutes and 25 seconds. Aadhya gave her record-setting performance at Priyadarshini Montessori House of Children, Yeyyadi, on April 6.
The panel of India Star Book of Records monitored the live performance and verified the complete video of Aadhya’s performance and declared her performances eligible for the world record. Aadhya received record certificates on June 6 after proceedings of two months,  from the monitoring committee. She will also receive a cash award from the committee of India Star Book of Records.
