This is how BJP workers in Mangalore celebrated Kateel’s victory

May 24:  It was seen that the BJP workers in Mangaore started celebrating the victory of their candidate Nalin Kumar Kateel in the Lok Sabha election By 10.30 am. The party workers started celebrating by bursting crackers at the BJP election office in Bunts Hostel. Colour powders were sprinkled, firecrackers were burst and jubilant workers danced to the beat of the drums. Women BJP workers turned out in huge numbers and danced with others unmindful of the scorching sun. However, there were no celebrations in and around the vote counting centre at NITK, Surathkal.
Even though there was a ban on roadshows, teams of BJP workers were seen riding through the city — with huge flags on bikes — raising slogans of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s name.  As a large number of party workers gathered in front of the BJP election office in Bunts Hostel, there was an exchange of words between the party workers and the police. The party workers burst crackers at places where they were prevented from taking out a procession.
Along with Mangalore, the BJP’s victory was celebrated in Mulki, Puttur, Vittal, Bantwal and other parts of the district. The party workers raised slogans in favour of Modi and Kateel.
