This is how Mangalore City Police Gears Up for upcoming Polls!

To ensure free & fair polls, Mangalore City police have taken certain measures. They have requested the public to report any kind of violation of moral code of conduct that they come across .

The city police have identified nearly 500 people who are engaged in anti social activities having criminal background. Action has been initiated against them as per preventive laws.

A special police team has been formed to get hold of all the accused against whom warrants have been pending from long time. Along with this, full fledged check posts are also formed at 6 locations on the inter-state border, to check violations of moral code of conduct if any.

Police Commissioner Patil had directed all the licence holders to surrender their weapons before march 18th. In genuine cases where people need weapons for self protection or to protect crops, a document has to be submitted for the same at the respective police station within a week.

He even stated that preventive measure have been taken against rowdy sheeters to ensure peaceful polls.
