This result of LokSabha polls was unexpected: Minister U T Khader

May 24: District In-Charge Minister U T Khader said the Lok Sabha 2019 results in Dakshina Kannada and Karnataka was unexpected.
He said that even though the result was not in their favour it has to be accepted as people’s mandate. He wished good luck to the newly elected MP Nalin Kumar Kateel from DK and said that the Centre and state governments should work jointly for the development of the district.
He mentioned that the Congress workers and leaders had worked hard to ensure the victory of Congress-JD(S) candidate Mithun M Rai. Defeat is not permanent. The Congress will continue to work on the principles of secularism and will work towards protecting the aspirations of the Constitution.
