This will happen if you park your Vehicle violating the rules!

City Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil said that if any vehicle is found to be parked violating the rules, it will be towed away to the nearest police station. He mentioned that this initiative is undertaken to crackdown the illegal parking and also to free up space for the movement of vehicles.

In case the vehicle is towed, the owners may dial the generic police hotline 100 or the city police control room at 0824 -2220800 and provide particulars of their vehicle to trace it.

So far 106 vehicles have been towed away since the city police employed the services of a towing of vehicles. Out of these, 75 are two-wheelers while another 31 are four-wheelers.

Commissioner Sandeep Patil said that this is done to ensure that the people in Mangalore are connected with the local police control room.
