Dry waste from 57 gram panchayats in Bantwal and Ullal will be sent for processing at the proposed MRF in Narikombu. Dry waste generated in 48 gram panchayats of Belthangady taluk will be shifted to the new MRF unit to be set up in Ujire. Meanwhile, Kedambadi unit will process dry waste collected from 68 gram panchayats of Puttur, Kadaba and Sullia regions. The three additional MRF units will be set up using the grants under Swachh Bharat Mission Rural, 15th Finance Commission grants and funds available with the zilla, taluk and gram panchayats.
