Tipper lorry ran over a two wheeler: Two killed

May 9: A rider and his pillion were killed when a tipper lorry ran over their two-wheeler at Kumeru on Annalike-Hirni road in Bantwal on Wednesday, May 8. The the deceased have been identified as Surendra (33), son of Ramesh Poojary, a resident of Bantwal and his relative Jayalakshmi (36).
Even though the injured were rushed to the hospital, they were declared dead on arrival at the hospital by the doctor on duty.
The tipper lorry was bound for Karpe. The police have taken truck driver Nagappa Rona (37) into custody.
