Tourists Visiting Dakshina Kannada District to Face Legal Action in Case of Violation of Rules: Right Decision
Mangalore City Police Commissioner Kuldeep Kumar R. Jain urged tourists not to indulge in any adventure in or near water bodies. Strict action would be taken if the cautions were violated, he said. Mr. Jain suggested to tourists to use Google Maps to exactly learn which road was blocked and which was open.
Superintendent of Police C.B. Ryshyanth said the police would restrict entry on roads wherever flood threat was there. Of the four routes to Kukke Subrahmanya, two were blocked. It was advisable to people to avoid visiting the temple town during heavy rains, he said.
DK DC Mullai Muhilan said there is high possibility of natural disasters like flood, cyclone and landslide here as we are situated in the coastal belt. Tourists need to be alert while visiting any places. Home guards are deployed in 8 beaches to restrict visitors as the entry to beaches s banned the DC added.
