Traffic Issues in Mangalore: Citizens Complain to Police Comissioner

Several traffic issues faced in Mangalore were discussed during public grievances meeting convened by the city police Anupan Agrawal. Citizens complained that buses not entering service roads to halt and instead moving on highways.

Residents said that city buses do not operate in Akashabhavana area after 7.30 p.m. inconveniencing the public. Traders from Hampanakatte said placing of barricades near Hampanakatte signal did not serve the purpose. While their business was hit, pedestrians had no space to cross the road at the signal.

There were also complaints like, fish transporting vehicles spilling waste water on roads, apartments flouting parking norms etc., dominated the public grievances meeting convened by the city police here on Saturday.
