Tulu Short Film ‘Pursa Kattuna’ Nominated For 16th Jaipur International Film Festival: Check Out

The research-based documentary Tulu short film ‘Pursa Kattuna’ has received a nomination at the 16th Jaipur International Film Festival (IFF), scheduled to take place from Feb 9 to 13. ‘Pursa Kattuna’ explores the traditional ritualistic dance form performed by Tulu-speaking people across various castes in different parts of Belthangady taluk in Dakshina Kannada.

Directed by Dr Sundara Kenaje, the documentary was produced by the Karavali Wikimedia User Group Mangalore in affiliation with the Wikimedia Foundation and the Centre for Internet and Society—Access to Knowledge (CIS-A2K). It is among the 326 films from 67 countries nominated for screening at the Jaipur festival out of the 2,971 films received from 82 countries.
