Two arrested by Anti corruption Bureau for accepting bribe in Mangalore

May 22: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) personnel caught a clerk and district manager of Karnataka Minorities Development Corporation Ltd, red-handed, while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a complainant, at the office premises, here on Tuesday.
The arrested have been identified as clerk Rahil and district manager Sridhar Bhandary. According to Uma Prashant superintendent of police, Western Range, ACB, the complainan had approached the corporation for a loan to do dairy business and avail financial subsidy under it. In return, the duo had had demanded Rs 10,000 as a bribe to clear the files for the subsidy. The beneficiary approached ACB and filed the complaint. Based on the complaint, ACB sleuths arrested the duo while receiving the bribe of Rs 10,000 at their office.
