Two-day theatre festival in Mangalore

May 15: A two-day theatre festival will be organised at Kudmul Ranga Rao Town Hall from May 15 onwards in memory of theatre artiste and film director B V Karanth, said B V Karanthara Rangabhoomi Trust President K J Ramchandra Bhat on Monday.
The theatre festival will be inaugurated by Babu Kodi B V Karantha Ranga Prathistana Bengaluru Managing Trustee Jayarama P. Writer Erya Lakshminarayana Alva, Kannada Sahithya Parishat Dakshina Kannada district president Pradeep Kumar Kalkura and others will be the chief guests.
As a part of the decennial celebration a sovereign a titled ‘Rangabhoomikya’ will be released. A play directed by K S K D L Chandru titled ‘Matsyagandha’ will be staged by Roopanthara team from Bengaluru. A play written by Girish Karnad and directed by Prashanth Udyavar ‘Rakshasa Thangadi’ will be performed by Sangama Kalavidar Manipal on May 16, at 6 pm.
